One Day Buddha Mahotsava is one of the state festivals of
Uttar Pradesh. It is celebrated at Shravasti, in the month of December.
The festival is organized by the state government and is accompanied by cultural and religious programs. Major programs are folksongs, dances, and recitals of poetic compositions such as mushairas and
ghazals.
