Onaganthanthali-Salantharesam Temple is situated on the road that leads to
Arakkonam, in
Kanchipuram. The presiding deities are Oneeshwarar, Gantheeshwarar and Salandareeshwarar. It is believed that the leaders of the army maintained by Vanasuran (a demon), worshipped Lord Shiva at this temple. The temple is also famous as one of the five sacred places where the devotee saints of Lord Shiva have sung devotional songs. The temple has three idols of Lord Shiva established by Oneeshwarar, Gantheshwarar and Jalandharan. Two of them are inside the temple and one is in the temple courtyard.
To reach this place, the nearest railway station is the Arakkonam Railway Station, located to the north-east of Kanchipuram.
