Obulapuram, also spelled Obalapuram, is located in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. It lies near the district’s border with Karnataka and is around 87 north-west of Anantapur. It lies near Hirchal.

Bellary is around 20 km north. Somalapuram Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
