Established in 1897, Nyamakad Tea Estate is a famous tea estate in
Munnar. Spread over an area of 498 hectares, the estate is owned by Tata Tea Company. The place is named after the Muduvan tribals, who used to gather at this estate in olden times, seeking peaceful settlement for their problems. The famous
Eravikulam National Park is situated in between the estate and the Rajamallay division. Rajamallay, a suicide point, is a tourist spot nearby.
