Nuranang Battle Field, 14,000 ft above sea level, was the main battle field of the India-China war in 1962. Prior permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs is required to visit this restricted area.
The place can be reached by passing the Se La Pass, about 100 km from Bomdila. The second highest motor-able road in India passes through this area.
Tezpur Airport and Rangapara North Railway Station (Assam) are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
