Nuclear Science Center is an autonomous inter university research facility
of the
University Grants Commission (UGC). It conducts research on nuclear physics,
materials science, radiation biology, accelerator mass spectroscopy, and atomic physics. The center has heavy ion reaction analyzer, gamma detector array, accelerators, auxiliary systems, library, and an academic cell.
The center is situated near the old campus of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
