Nili Masjid (Blue Mosque) is located in
Hauz Khas, on the road connecting
Aurobindo Marg to
Khel Gaon Marg in
New Delhi. It was built by Kasum Bhil (the nurse of Fath Khan, son of Khawas Khan who was Governor of the area) in 1505. The mosque which measures about 15 m is decorated with blue tiles and is divided into three bays. It is ornamented with Quranic inscriptions in its interior. The material used to build the mosque is random rubble masonry. An old well lies in its south corner.
