Nihal Palace




Nihal Palace is a marvelous palace located at Kapurthala, about 19 km west of Jalandhar. Popularly known as Jallowkhana, this palace is a major tourist attraction in Punjab. Believed to have been built in 1840 by His Highness Raja Nihal Singh, Nihal Palace is famous for its architectural excellence. Although Nihal Palace is in ruins, it is still worth visiting. Shalimar Garden, Kachari, Moorish Mosque, and Kanjli Wetland are nearby attractions. Regular buses are available from Kapurthala Bus Station. The nearest railhead is Kapurthala Railway Station and Amritsar International Airport is the nearest airport.
