Nga, also known as Nga Fagin, is a culturally advanced tribe inhabiting in the higher altitudes of the
Himalayas, in
Upper Subansiri District of
Arunachal Pradesh. Ngas follow the principles of Tibetan Buddhism.
Ngas live in houses made of stone and wear clothes made of spun. They manage livelihood by cultivating terraced land and growing crops such as maize, barley and millet. Besides, Ngas domesticate animals including yak and sheep.
