Nellikunnam is a picturesque village in Kollam District, on the Oyoor – Kottarakkara road. It is about 5 km south of Kottarakkara and 30 km from Kollam. Main economy of the villagers is agriculture and rubber plantations. Many women work in the cashew factories.
Nellikunnam is blessed with a number of spiritual spots like the Vilangara Sree Subramanya Swami Temple, St. George Church, Kottarakara Ganapathi Temple and Veliyam Sree Subramanya Swami Temple.
