Nehru Children's Museum, a project of National Cultural Association, is located on Chowringhee Road in
Kolkata, the capital city of
West Bengal. It was established in 1972, on the birthday (14th November) of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Spread over four floors, the museum has the world of epics, science and dream world. Dolls gallery, toys gallery, and the Ramayana and Mahabharata depicted in clay models are the most fascinating archives for the children. There are dolls from 88 countries, including the recently added Thailand dolls.
The museum is opened on all days, except Mondays, from 12:00 to 20:00 hrs. Library, guide service, lectures and film shows are available.
