Nawegaon Bandh Wildlife Sanctuary

Nawegaon Bandh Wildlife Sanctuary, the most popular forest resort in Vidarbha, is located in Saloki Taluka. It is believed that Kolu Patel Kolhi built the sanctuary in the 18th century. Guests can visit the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, three beautiful gardens, and the children's park. Most of the bird species found in Maharashtra are recorded in Nawegaon. Every winter, large flocks of migratory ducks visit the lake. The animals kept in the sanctuary include leopard, sloth bear, gaur, sambar, chital, and langur. Accommodations are available in self-contained rooms, dormitories, and tents.
