Navaneetha Krishnaswamy Temple

Navaneetha Krishnaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is situated on the Palakkad-Pollachi main road and is 7 km from Palakkad.

This 400-year-old temple faces north, the direction of Lord Kubera, with a 57 ft high dhwajasthambham. On entering the inner prakaram, the devotee faces the splendid form of Navaneetha Krishna, with a benevolent smile in His face. The Lord’s neck is adorned with luminous Kausthubha jewels and his two hands hold butter, His favorite.

The temple follows the same worship mode as in the Guruvayoorappan Temple. Lord Ganesh, Goddess Lakshmi and Garuda are also enshrined here.

Vaikunta Ekadesi and Car Festival are celebrated here amid great pomp and splendor. The temple possesses a unique 105-year-old chariot, used for Rathotsavam.
