Naubat Khana, often called as Drum House, is one of the important monuments of
Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent city built by
Akbar in the 16th century. Once it was the main entrance to the city, where the emperor’s arrival is announced by a roll of drums. Passing off from the Naubat Khana, is the western entrance to the majestic palace complex which opens into the vast courtyard of the Diwan-i-Aam.
