National Institute of Technology was established in 1963 as a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the State Government of
Haryana. It is situated at
Kurukshetra, 160 km north of
New Delhi.
A premier institute in the field of technology, the college offers undergraduate as well as post-graduate courses in various disciplines of engineering and technology. It also offers excellent facilities for advanced research in the emerging areas of science and technology.

The college offers engineering degrees in the disciplines of civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and communication, and computer science. M-Tech degrees in the disciplines of civil engineering and electronics and communication engineering are also included in the college curriculum.
