Roorkee, National Institute of Hydrology is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Water Resource. It focuses on systematic and scientific research in all aspects of hydrology and also studies the specific hydrological problems of different regions of the country. Major activities include basic and applied research, field and laboratory oriented action research, demand driven research and technology transfer. It is equipped with facilities such as latest computer hardware and software and library. Laboratory facilities are also available.
