National Highway 71




National Highway 71 connects Jalandhar in Punjab with Bawal on National Highway 8, in Haryana. The road has a total length of 307 km and passes through some major cities and towns on the way.

National Highway 71 originates at Jalandhar and runs south-west up to Moga, the distance traveled being 97 odd km. It then turns south-eastwards and passes past Barnala and Dhanaula to reach Sangrur on National Highway 64. National Highway 71 then becomes south-bound and runs near Ghaggar and beyond Dogal to eventually enter Haryana, past Shatrana. The highway is 130 km long in Haryana.

In Haryana, Narwana is the first major settlement one comes across while traveling along the National Highway 71. Past Narwana, the highway changes its course to become south-east bound and runs through the cities of Jind, Julana, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Rewari, before terminating at Bawal near the state’s border with Rajasthan. National Highway 71 has a total length of 177 km in Haryana.
