Narsinghpur District is located in the central part of
Madhya Pradesh. It has an area of 5,000 sq km. It is said to be the most fertile land all over Asia. Predominantly an agricultural district, huge industries are rare. Industries include agricultural equipments, cement pipes, paper mills, plastic and rubber, leather goods manufacturing, earthen utensils and pots, poultry farming, goat farming and fish-farming. Major commercial crops are soybean and
sugarcane.
The major tourist spots are Narsingh Mandir, Bramhan Ghat, Jhoteshwar Ashram, and Damaru Ghati. The main festivals celebrated are
Raksha Bandhan, Holi, and Dussehra.
