Narayankannur Temple




Narayankannur Temple is an ancient shrine located at Ramanthali, about 30 km from Kannur, in Kannur District of Kerala. The temple has two inscriptions dating back to AD 928 and AD 1132. The outer circular wall of Narayankannur Temple is enclosed by a circular sanctum sanctorum and the inside of the temple is built in the shape of a square. The outer walls on all sides have functional doors and were built according to Vaastu Shastra.

Payyanur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
