Narayanamkulangara Bhagavati Temple is situated about half a km north of Mammiyur near
Guruvayoor,3 km north of
Thrissur in
Thrissur District. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Narayani, an incarnation of
Shakti. The temple celebrates
Navaratri, Nira-Puthari, and mandala pooja. On the day following
Vishu, a carnival known as Vishu vela is celebrated.
Mammiyur Mahadevar Temple and Guruvayoorappan Temple are in the vicinity. Chavakkad beach, a tourist spot, is 3 km away.
The Bhagavati temple can be approached from Guruvayoor on foot. From all major cities and towns of Kerala, buses are available to Guruvayoor. The nearest railhead is Guruvayoor Railway Station.
