Narayan Temple




Narayan Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu built in Orissa style. It is situated at Narayanpal in Bastar District of Chhattisgarh. Narayanpal is about 35 km from Jagdalpur.

The temple is simple in structure with a single-spire shikhara. The mandap of the temple is ruined, but one can see the base of its pyramidal structure. The temple is of similar architecture and design as that of the temple at Janjgir. The temple also enshrines the image of Lord Ganesh.

The temple is easily accessible by State buses from the Jagdalpur Bus Station.
