Narada Gana Sabha is located at
Alwarpet,
Chennai. It was started in 1958 by the residents of North Mylapore. The main objective of the sabha is to promote performing arts. The sabha has a fully air-conditioned hall designed with special acoustics, stage and other amenities. Various dance performances of well-known dancers are conducted by the sabha which include that of Bala Saraswati, Kamala, Vyjayanthimala and Alarmelvalli. It also conducts concerts of Pandit Ravishankar, Bismilla Khan, Parveen Sultana, Amjad Ali Khan and Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. On second Sundays of every month, it conducts the Namasankeerthan (songs sung by musicians). It offers dance classes on Saturdays and Sundays. Music competitions are conducted every year
