Naqash is a process used for the beautification of copper and silver articles in
Jammu and Kashmir. The price of the metal objects mainly depends on the extent of process.
Almost the entire surface of the metal object is engraved or embossed with detailed designs. Usually floral, geometric, calligraphic or leafy patterns are used. Once the designs are created, they are oxidized to give them an enhanced effect.
