Nangal Chaudhary, a village, is the block headquarters of
Mahendragarh District in
Haryana. Placed near Narnaul (25 km away), it is in the southern part of the district and borders the districts of
Alwar,
Sikar and
Jaipur of
Rajasthan.
Nangal Chaudhary is noted for its sand dunes and desert lands. Prominent of the landmark is a dilapidated Haveli, whose history dates back to 500 years. Limestone is found here in abundant in the surrounding areas of the Krishnawati River and Dostpur village.
Sainis, a farming community, is the prime inhabitants here. They celebrate Gugga Naumi, a religious festival related to snake worship. Rabari and Lassi along with Bajra roti and butter are their main food.
The village is 22 km from the
National Highway 8, which connects New Delhi with Jaipur.
