Nand-ki-Shor

Nand-ki-Shor, also known as Seer Jagir, is a sacred place on the left bank of Jhelum River at Sopore. It is an important pilgrimage center for the Kashmiri Pandits in the northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The shrine is dedicated to an incarnation of Goddess Shakti.

In olden times animal sacrifice was practiced here. Near to this shrine, there is a covered spring where devotees take bath. The temple has its own dharamsala, kitchen and other facilities. Sanyasis from far and near places gather here to meditate. The main festival falls on Vaisakha Amavasi day.
