Nana Rao Ghat




Nana Rao Ghat, a place of historical importance, is situated on the right banks of the Ganges River in the cantonment area of Kanpur.

Formerly known as Massacre Ghat, it is named after Nana Saheb Peshwa, a prominent leader of the first war of independence in 1857.

Sometimes it is referred to as Sati Chura Ghat, as it witnessed the terrible massacre during the struggle for independence.
