Namdang, in
Sibsagar District, is about 11 km to the west of the district headquarters,
Sibsagar. The neighboring towns linked with Namdang are Dikhomukh (11 km) to the west,
Jhanzi (8 km) to the south, Disangmukh (15 km) to the north and Geleki (21 km) to the east.
Namdang is famous for its tea estates. Prime attraction is the Namdang Stone Bridge on the Namdang River.
National Highway 37 passes through Namdang. Nearest airport is at Jorhat, about 55 km away from Sibsagar. Amguri Railway Station serves Namdang.
