Nalussery Bhagavathy Temple




Nalussery Bhagavathy Temple is situated in the northern part of Ottapalam taluk in Nalussery, Palakkad District. The temple is a very ancient one, about 900 years old. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Bhagavati.

Prathista Dinam in the Malyalam month of Meenam, Illam Nira in the Malayalam month of Karkidakom (July-August) and Navratri are the major festivals of the temple. Other temples nearby are Cheru Nalussery Kavu, Ootupura Nalussery Temple and Mootharalikkal Nalussery Temple.

The temple is about 35 km from Palakkad, the northern gateway of Kerala. The nearest railhead is Palakkad Junction Railway Station.
