Nakuleshwar Temple




Modeled on the stylistic pattern of Khajuraho, Nakuleshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has 38 stone images of Lord Shiva, Parvati, Uma-Vasudev, Navagraha, Surya, Mahishasurmardini, Lord Vaman, Kurma, and Narasimha. The name of the temple is derived from a combination of two words: Nakul meaning the Himalayas and Ishwar meaning God. The temple is situated two km away from the village of Shiling.
