Nagin Lake, dubbed as the 'Jewel In The Ring', is regarded as the most beautiful of the
Dal Lake, in
Jammu and Kashmir. The lake got its name from many trees which encircle this small deep blue lake. Separated from the Larer Dal lakes by a narrow causeway, it has a number of houseboats moored around its perimeter.
Best time to visit is from June to August.
Nagin is good for swimming as it is deeper and less populated. Fiberglass sailing boats are available for hire and water skiing facilities.
The Nagin Club, situated on the bank of the lake, features a bar and a tea pavilion. Temporary membership is available to visitors.
