Nagarkot Ki Rani is an ancient temple in the south-western part of
Ujjain. This temple, situated on the ancient mud rampart, enshrines the guardian deity of ancient Ujjaiyini. Hence it is known as the queen of the city wall i.e. Nagarkot Ki Rani. There is a tank facing the temple which belongs to Paramar period. Both the sides of the tank have two small temples. One of these temples belongs to
Gupta period and enshrines an idol of
Lord Kartikeya. This place has some archeological importance and is associated with the traditions of Natha cult and popular tales of Vikramaditya and Bharthihari.
