Nagarjuna Konda Museum lies in Nagarjunasagar of
Guntur District,
Andhra Pradesh. It is specially designed in the model of a Buddhist
Vihara and houses the discoveries in Nagarjuna valley. The pre-historic relics such tools from Paleolithic and Neolithic times are represented here. The display includes Buddhist antiques including a stone image of the
Buddha and panels carved with Jataka tales and inscriptions. Besides these, Stone Age picks, hoes, hammers and spears are exhibited. Information in three languages namely
Telugu,
Hindi and English are made available to guide the visitors.
The museum is open on all days from 09:00 to 16:00 hrs and is closed on Fridays.
