Nadavai Festival



Nadapavai festival is celebrated in the Sanjeevirayan Temple at Iyenkulam in Kanchipuram District. It is held on the full moon day in April-May period. This festival is dedicated to Lord Varadharaja Perumal (Lord Vishnu).

On this occasion, the idol of the deity is taken to the Nadapavai well situated near the temple. This well is famous for its architecture and sculptural works. There is a ceremonial dipping of the deity into the waters of the holy well.
