A heritage fair, Nabanna is held at Kulgachia, a suburb in
Howrah District of
West Bengal. It falls during January and lasts for seven days.
Competitions such as Pithe Making and Seat-and Draw are organized on this occasion. Also, rare items of rural Bengal such as Dhenki - an old-style domestic rice mill - and different varieties of paddy are exhibited. Cultural programs such as Baul song, Chhou-dance and Kobi-gaan are the other accompaniments of this festival.
