Founded in 1891, Mysore Race Club is one of the best racing centers in India. Nestling in sylvan surroundings, its formation is related to the Maharaja of
Mysore, His Highness Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar, who started horse racing to celebrate his birth days. The club is set in 152 acres land with a magnificent stand, paddock complex and office building.
The club house has a multi cuisine restaurant, a barbecue, bar, and well equipped rooms. There are wide angle television sets to facilitate better viewing. Live telecast of Mumbai and Bangalore races are available. Other facilities include stables, jockey room with all modern facilities, racing track, canteen, and an equine hospital.
Regular races are organized, and the club conducts inter venue betting on almost all racing centers in India - mainly Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.
