Mussalpur is a remote village in the northern part of
Nalbari District in
Assam. Situated at the foothills of Eastern
Himalayas, the village lies near Indo-Bhutan Border.
Surrounded by thick forest, it falls under Baska Forest Range and is famous for Mussal, a bundle of smashed dried bamboo. It is used as a torch to drive away wild elephants that frequently used to visit the vegetable crops of the villagers.
