Museum of Art and Archaeology, established in 1972, is housed in the
University of Mysore,
Karnataka. The museum exhibits archaeological specimens, excavated antiques, sculpture, inscriptions and ancient coins. Informative lectures are conducted occasionally.
Guide services are offered to visitors. Photography inside the museum requires permission from the director. The museum also houses a well stocked library.
Museum of Art and Archaeology is open from 10:30 to 17:30 hrs on all days, except Sundays.
