Musamman Burj, also known as Saman Burj, is a beautiful octagonal tower standing close to the
Shah Jahan's private hall
Diwan-e-Khas in
Agra. It has an open pavilion with its views along the
Yamuna to the
Taj Mahal.
Shah Jahan is said to have died in this tower in 1666 as the captive of his son
Aurangzeb.
