Murgo

Murgo is a famous campsite located in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Perched at an altitude of 4450 m, it is located 24 km south of Burtsa in Leh District.

Murgo literally means ‘the gateway of death’ in Yarkandi. This place is uninhabited, due to constant snowstorms, gales and blizzards raged. This barren land consists only of black and brown mountains all around.

A mineral water spring with warm and palatable water is major attraction here. Burtsa Pass is located 24 km north of Murgo.
