Mughal Sarai is located at Shambhu Village near
Rajpura in
Patiala District. It is a caravan-sarai built by
Sher Shah on the
Grand Trunk Road.
The sarai has two magnificent gates with a mosque in the center and rooms on all sides for travelers. There is a baradari, a building with 12 gates, and a deep well on the outer side of the sarai.
