Mualchang is a village in
Lunglei District of
Mizoram. The place is famous for ancient carvings, which are believed to have been made by the Buddhists.
An engraved image of Lord Buddha is a prime attraction, about eight kilometers away. There are images of dancing girls on both sides of this image. Engravings of foot marks and various articles, like spear head and dao, can be seen on another slab of the stone.
By road, Mualchang is linked with Lunglei, which is about 50 km away from the statue.
