Mount Tabor Ashram is located at
Pathanapuram, in
Kollam District of
Kerala. It was established in 1929 by Thoma Mar Dionysius with an intention to spread teachings of Orthodox beliefs, promote monastic life and establish educational institutions, old age homes and hospitals.
A boy's home at Melam Kulanudi (Tamil Nadu) and a 100 bedded hospital at Mathur (Tamil Nadu) are among the significant contributions of the ashram. Presently, two colleges, six high schools and a higher secondary school function under this ashram.
Mount Tabor Ashram has branches at Kurienayam, Malloor, Tiruchirapalli, Malankara and Mathur.
