Mount Sri Kailash




Mount Sri Kailash situated at an altitude of 6932 m lies in Uttarkashi District of Garhwal Himalayas. The peak, pyramidal in shape is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. It is the second highest peak in the Garhwal region which entices any mountaineering enthusiast. Because of its conical shape and large glacier track with wide crevices, it poses a challenging task to the mountaineers.

The best time for hiking is from April to June and September to Mid-November.

The nearest airport is at Jollygrant and the closest railway station is at Rishikesh, 145 km away.
