Set up in 1780 by Maharawal Mool Raj, Mool Sagar is a natural point situated at
Jaisalmer - the romantic desert city of
Rajasthan. It has a small royal pleasure palace, garden, reservoir and a Shiva temple carved from two pieces of sandstone. Built as a cool summer retreat, it belongs to the Royal family of Jaisalmer. The palace houses three Jain temples dedicated to the Jain
Tirthankars - Rishabdev,
Sambhavnath and Parsvanath. From the garden, one can have a magnificent view of wells, trees and the rich green environment.
