Perched at an altitude of 3,106 ft above sea level, Mongsenyimti is a small village located in
Mokokchung District of
Nagaland. This tribal area is occupied by an important clan of the Nagas. The main source of livelihood is agriculture. Chief products cultivated here are
rice, chillies,
maize, gourd,
cucumber, beans and sweet potato.
Khensa (15 km) in the west, Ungr (7 km) in the north, Litim (12 km) in the east and Mokokchung (14 km) in the south forms the nearest towns bounded by Mongsenyimti.
Mongsenyimti can be reached from Jorhat, which is connected to both Kolkata and Guwahati by air.
