Mogileeshwara Temple




Mogileeshwara Temple is a highly revered temple situated at Mogli village in Bangarupalem taluk of Chittoor District. Set amidst picturesque hillocks, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is believed that Mogileeshwara Temple got its name because the shivling of this temple was found from among mogili flowers. Devarakonda, a small hillock is the nearby attraction. The dazzling spring found here is believed to have been dug by Lord Shiva himself. The Nandi image of the temple is famous for the perennial flow of water from the mouth. Apart from this, the Shivlinga is noted for its size.

The nearest airport is at Tirupati.
