Modadruma Gaudiya Math




Modadruma Gaudiya Math is a holy place located at Modadrumadvipa (Mamagachi), Nadia District. It is one of the 64 Gaudiya Maths (Mutt) founded by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta. The presiding deities worshipped here are Sri Nitai-Gauranga, Jagannath, Balram and Subhadra. The Radha Krishna deity was installed by the Thakur. The mutt also holds the small white murti of Vrindaban dasa Thakur, the author of Chaitanya Bhagavat. This is the birth place of Vrindaban dasa Thakur and also the ancestral home of Malini Devi, wife of Srivasa Pandita.

The mutt can be approached from Mamagachi, which is about one mile from the Purvasthali railway station. Navadvipa station is also nearby.
