Mirg Festival


Goans celebrate Mirg Festival with traditional pomp and fervor. It is celebrated to declare the onset of monsoon. The festival usually falls on 6th June. During this occasion, people offer prayers to St Anthony, St John, St Peter and St Paul - the catholic saints who born in the month of June.
