Methala

Methala is located in Thrissur District and lies on the outskirts of Kodungallur. It about 17 km south-west of Irinjalakuda and around 38 km from Thrissur.

Cheraman Juma Masjid, the first Juma Masjid in India, is located here. Thiruvanchikulam Mahadeva Temple, one among the four Tali temples of Kodungallur, is another important shrine here.

Irinjalakuda Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
