Memjubel

Memjubel is a hill-top region near Saipung village in Jaintia Hills District. The place is named after the collection of pot-like objects carved out of stone found here. It is believed that these carved stone pots were the handwork of Jaintia Chieftain U Sajar Nangli and his followers.

Memjubel has a magnificent view of the Kupli River which runs in between Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya and North Cachar Hills District of Assam.

Memjubel is about 84 km from Jowai. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and Guwahati Junction Railway Station are the nearest access points.
